Course Descriptions:

8-Hour MSHA Annual Refresher

The 8-Hour Refresher Course is intended for miners who have completed MSHA New Miner Training previously. This course is designed to satisfy the requirements of MSHA regulation 30 CFR Part 46 for metal/nonmetal surface operations. Certified first aid training and accident prevention are among some of the topics covered in this course.

16-Hour MSHA New Miner Training

This two-day course is designed to meet MSHA's Part 46 training requirement for new miners in surface metal/nonmetal operations. Topics include Miner's Rights, Electrical Hazards, Lock Out/Tag Out, Fire Safety, and First Aid/CPR Certification. This course meets non-site specific requirements of MSHA Regulation 30 CFR Part 46 (annual Refresher required).
